Brooke Pence is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the states of California and Arizona. She obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from CSU Long Beach. She specializes in working with children (infants, preschool, and school-age), teenagers, young adults, and families.
Brooke has a passion for helping children, families, and individuals thrive and reconnect using attachment-based theory during therapy. She gained valuable experience working in schools and community mental health clinics, honing her skills in providing individual and family therapy to children, teens, and young adults. She uses a variety of evidence-based approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), and family therapy. Her specialties include treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, adjustment challenges, grief and loss, attachment, interpersonal relationships, parental separation, child/adolescent disruptive or defiant behaviors, and parenting education.
Brooke takes a collaborative and integrative approach to treatment that focuses on enhancing strengths, developing new coping strategies to manage distress, and increasing tolerance to the day-to-day stress that parents, children/teens, and young adults face. Brooke promises to bring a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space during your work together to allow you to feel safe and supported during your therapy experience.
